This is my first attempt at blogging :) Bare with me........
I have started an adventure I call Sublime Time, it has brought new life to my soul, and new life to my art. I am attempting to empower creativity within the non-artist and artist alike.
Teaching art and ceramics at the high school level for 7 years has given me insight into the world of education and the lack of time given to students to be creative. In this day of testing our students do not have a love of learnng, they have an "is this going to be on the test?" concept of what learning is. They take in information long enough to pass the test and then throw it away. The absence of creativity has stunned our youth and they are scared to experiment, try something new, attempt something on their own......They fear failure and therefore they do not try at all. Seeing this in my classroom made me sad and then Sublime Time was born.
Sublime Time is a place where I take people on the creative proccess journey. I encourage them to allow thier own style to come out. My rule is "You can not judge your artwork until tomorrow morning when you wake up!" I know people have the natural desire to create, they just need a little coaxing to allow it to come out.

I have just obtained a space in downtown Fresno at the M Street Arts Complex to allow my adventure to grow. I plan to offer many painting classes as well as Art Camps, drawing, crafting, and tapping in to that creative side we all have been neglecting for to long. I hope you will join me for my Grand Opening Reception on May 23rd at 5pm. I will be available to answer questions, give you more information about Sublime Time, and I will have some local artists displaying their work for your enjoyment.
